These Terms govern your use of JerryBanfield.org and any services booked through it, including the $96 one-on-one session and the Jerry Banfield Family community. By using this site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms.
Services
A one-on-one session is a conversation intended to provide general guidance and practical direction based on Jerry’s experience. The Jerry Banfield Family is a paid community offering ongoing access and discussion. Services are provided as described on the site and may change over time.
Life-story and personal-history services
The Life Story Project Call is a one-on-one planning conversation ($96 USD, currently 30 minutes) about recording, organizing, completing, publishing, or privately preserving a life story, personal history, family history, memoir, or related project. It does not obligate you to purchase further work.
- Implementation. Any writing, editing, production, publishing, website, audio, video, family-archive, or other implementation work we agree on is billed at $192 USD per working hour unless a different written quote is provided. No implementation work begins without your approval, and larger projects should receive a written description of the scope. Scope, timing, and total cost vary by project.
- Third-party expenses. Material third-party expenses (for example travel, printing, platform, advertising, paid hosting, domain, equipment, or distribution costs) are disclosed and approved by you before they are incurred.
- Your review and factual responsibility. You are responsible for reviewing the agreed final material and confirming important personal facts. Material that cannot be verified should be marked for confirmation, presented as personal recollection, or removed at your direction.
- Ownership and accounts. Whenever practical, books, domains, channels, publishing accounts, and hosting accounts are established in your name or handed over to you. Ownership of deliverables, any limited production permissions, authorship credit, and the handling of raw recordings and final export files should be recorded in the written project scope.
- Publication approval. Nothing from your project is made public without your approval.
- Client-supplied material. You are responsible for having the rights and any needed permissions for material you supply (for example photographs, letters, music, or other people’s writing), and use of such material may still need copyright, consent, and privacy review.
- AI-assisted processing. AI tools may be used for transcription, organization, editing assistance, formatting, and technical work. AI is not used to invent memories, facts, dialogue, accomplishments, quotations, or family history.
- Hosting and renewal. Websites, domains, and hosting involve ongoing costs and maintenance responsibilities, which are documented before you choose them. No promise is made that any website, platform, or archive will remain available indefinitely.
- No guaranteed outcomes. There is no guarantee of book sales, views, rankings, subscribers, press coverage, audience growth, or income.
- Not professional advice. Life-story and personal-history services are not estate, legal, inheritance, tax, financial, medical, funeral, end-of-life, or therapeutic advice or services, and are not a substitute for a licensed professional.
No guarantees
Guidance shared in a session or in the community is informational and based on personal experience. It is not a guarantee of any specific result, income, or outcome. You are responsible for the decisions you make and the actions you take.
Payments and rescheduling
One-on-one sessions are $96 USD and are paid at the time of booking through our third-party payment and scheduling providers. Rescheduling is available with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site and community respectfully and lawfully, and not to misuse, disrupt, or copy content without permission.
